Question by Paul S: What is the connection between the national debt and raising the debt ceiling?
There is such robust opposition to raising the debt ceiling. Raising the debt ceiling was a routine process till this time. Unless I am missing something, the national debt has nothing to do with raising the debt ceiling. I would appreciate any reference materials that any of you could supply.
